The original paper, “Alterations in descending brain-spinal pathways regulating colorectal motility in a rat model of Parkinson’s disease,” which was written by Tomoya Sawamura (a second-year student) as first author, has been selected for APSselect by the American Physiological Society.

The 10 journals published by the American Physiological Society publish more than 200 new papers each month, and the best original papers are selected as “APSselect” papers. The number of selected papers is about 10 per month, making this a very prestigious award.
