Dean Hikasa paid a courtesy visit to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Putra University (Malaysia) and Airlangga University (Indonesia).
On January 8, 2020 (Wednesday), the Dean of Veterinary Medicine, University Putra Malaysia (UPM; Malaysia), paid a courtesy call from Dean Hikasa Yoshiaki of Tottori University and Prof. Hosaka Yoshinao. At the visit to UPM, Abdul Rahman Omar, Dean of Veterinary Medicine, first introduced the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, followed by Dean Hikasa giving an overview of Tottori University and the unique educational programs of the Graduate School. In addition, the Dean Hikasa and Prof. Hosaka introduced characteristic research activities to the staff of the UPM, and subsequently exchanged opinions. Finally, the exchange of memorabilia was exchanged between both universities, and the discussion ended in a relaxed atmosphere throughout.
On Friday, January 10, Dean Hikasa and Prof. Hosaka paid a courtesy visit to Puldji Srianto, Dean of Veterinary Medicine and Vice Dean of Mufasirin, of Airlangga University (Surabaya, Indonesia). At the same time, they will introduce and explain the educational and research activities of the Graduate School of Veterinary Sciences and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of both universities, and will carefully examine the possibility of future collaboration and exchange between Tottori University and Airlangga University in the field of veterinary science.
It is hoped that this visit to UPM and Airlanga University will further promote student and faculty interaction between our graduate school (Tottori) and both universities. Also expected that exchanges in the fields of veterinary education and research will be further enhanced and developed.
